Morality Monday Q is for Quiet

This week teach your children that there are times to be quiet and times to be loud. In church we show reverence to God by being quiet. See if your children can think of other places or times when it is good to be quiet. Teach them the old saying, "If you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all." There are times we want to say mean things but it's best to hold it in to prevent hurt feelings or regret for saying the wrong thing. Sometimes we need to be quiet so we can simply listen to others.

Job 6:24 NIV
"Teach me, and I will be quiet; show me where I have been wrong.

Morality Monday - P Week

This week we need to focus on patience. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit. Think of ways to be patient this week. Anytime you feel like your patience is being tested it may be that God is helping you work on this. Sing a song that my mother taught me. I don't know who wrote it but it goes like this, "Have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry."

Here's a scripture to help us think about patience.

Colossians 1:11 NIV
"being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully "

Morality Monday - O is for Obey

Focus on obedience this week. I know it's hard to get your children to obey but explain to them that God wants us to obey our parents as well as His will. I have been struggling with my 4 year old on obedience so what we did is we filled a jar full of balls and if he fills up the jar, he can do something special like play computer or go buy a toy. If he disobeys, he has to remove a jar from the bin. This has really been working for us! Do you have any ideas on disapline? Please put them in the comments, I would love to hear some new ideas.
Here's a scripture to read to your children:

Leviticus 18:4 NIV
"You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the LORD your God.
