**Updated**Our First Giveaway--Mom's Survival Kit

Welcome to Mom’s Best Wisdom Blog! We’re glad you found your way here, even though it’s a late entry! We are a relatively new blog and website hoping to provide moms with tips on mothering and marriage, ideas for entertaining your children, and support to help you be the best mom you can be. Take a look around our main site to find information on everything from starting your own music playgroup to keeping the romance alive in your marriage after kids! Check our blog daily for ideas to entertain your kids and keep your sanity as a mom, while at the same time raising your children in a Christian environment. Each week is centered on a letter to help teach your children the alphabet, and each day offers different tips based on that letter!

Photobucket

We’re excited to take part in our first giveaway, and since our site is dedicated to mothers, we will be giving away a Mother’s Survival Kit, which includes the following books:

  1. Mommy, Mommy, Play with Me (This book is full of quick tips from A to Z for creative mothering and producing quality time with your young children. A hands-on book of hundreds of projects using each letter of the alphabet. It is written from a Christian perspective.)
  2. Recipes for Motherhood (This booklet is full of motherhood tricks of the trade geared toward parenting young children. These are ideas to make motherhood peaceful and fun.)
  3. One cookbook with quick and easy recipes perfect for mothers
  4. One original children’s book

(All books were written by Ellen Mongan, a mother of seven children, and a Christian writer and speaker. She, along with her daughters, Tarolyn and Amanda, started this site.)

To win, simply leave a comment saying one thing you love about being a mother (or if you’re not a mom yet, one thing that you admire about your own mom or a mom you know well). You don't need a blog to enter, but make sure you leave an e-mail address, so we can contact you! And sorry, but this only open to people in the U.S. Since we’re entering this carnival late, the giveaway will end at noon (EST) on Sunday, February 3rd, and we'll announce the winner that evening.

We're still giving away the books (no matter how you found us), and there are still tons of giveaways listed on the Bloggy Giveaways site, so go check it out!

Don’t forget to check out all the other incredible free stuff at Bloggy Giveaways!

I love when my 10 month old daughter gets shy and she buries her head into my shoulder or leg or whatever part of me is closet to her at the time. It shows me how much she loves and trusts me. It is a great feeling. I also love watching her grow and learn about the world around her. It is amazing.

These books sound great and very helpful. Great giveaway - thanks!

My husband and I had a very difficult time getting pregnant. We had fertility issues and it ended up taking us three years. After all the procedures we went through, we ended up getting pregnant on our own. Isn't God funny? I think that when one goes through a journey like this, it gives you a different perspective. I am thankful for all of the toys I pick up because it means she is here. I'm thankful for runny noses and poopy diapers because it means she's with us. My favorite thing about being her mommy is waking her up in the morning, though. It's a constant reminder of the miracle of life!
Thanks for this! It was good for my spirit to remember!

Thanks for the giveaway. I love when my sons come in from school so proud of some type of artwork or school work. We make a big fuss and hang it on our fridge.

I am the mom of a large brood of kids. While I just had another baby almost 4 months ago, my oldest daughter and her husband are expecting their first child this summer. I love giving love to my children, being able to share with them what is important, and just spending quality time with them. I also love spending time with my oldest children, and seeing how they have become such wonderful young adults.

I'm not a Mom but I get a total kick out of the neighbor's kids and their unbridled goofiness. They simply enjoy having fun.

It was great while it lasted, but alas all good things come to an end. Now I am a grandmom and that is even greater.

I love seeing my kids' personalities develop and it's so fun to see the people they're becoming.

I am a mother of two boys, 16 years and 6 months. I have found that being a mom is different this time around. I have a better understanding and appreciation for all the little things like poop (I am so excited when he poops! I can't explain it!) but also I am so much more fearful with this one. I now am so aware of all the bad in the world. We are trying to our 3rd now - I just love being a mom.
Thanks for the contest!

I am a mother to 5 boys and what I love most about being a mother (besides the incredible love I have for my boys!)is the laughter that fills our home everyday.

Thanks for the giveaway!

something that i love about motherhood is the fact that you get to see the child grow up and see how they change and how they stay the same.

There are so many things! The run up from behind and hug mom. The giggles. A little girl with her daddy. But I love it the most when she calls my name. Mama is a wonderful name to have.

I love kids so much. I really want to have kids. I love the 12 toddlers in my class. And I can not wait to adopt.

I love when my son snuggles his head on my shoulder next to my neck. I also love it when I can make him laugh.

I love it when my 15 month old kisses me. All on her own! She doesn't do it much, but when she does it melts my heart!

I love watching my son learn things for the first time and watching him struggle to master them at first - he will be so honest and earnest in his approach. Watching him learn and grow has been an amazing experience so far. Life Changing, for sure.
