Bloggy Giveaway!

We're getting into this giveaway late, but welcome to those of you who made it to our site!

We are a relatively new blog and website hoping to provide moms with tips on mothering and marriage, ideas for entertaining your children, and support to help you be the best mom you can be. Take a look around our main site to find information on everything from starting your own music playgroup to keeping the romance in your marriage after kids! Check our blog daily for ideas to entertain your kids and keep your sanity as a mom, while at the same time raising your children in a Christian environment. Our archives contain all kinds of ideas on projects and activities based on the letters of alphabet, and our recent posts contain lots advice on a variety of parenting topics. We would love for the blog to become a platform for discussion on these topics, so come back and join the conversation! Currently, we are discussing discipline.

The giveaway is a bible study specifically for mothers (Mom's Best Wisdom Bible Study), and we will through in a few other mom books too!

(The book was written by Ellen Mongan, a mother of seven children, and a Christian writer and speaker. She, along with her daughters, Tarolyn and Amanda, founded this site.)

To win, simply leave a comment giving your best mothering tip! Since we’re entering this carnival late, the giveaway will end at 9 pm (EST) on Saturday, November 1st.

For more great giveaways, visit the carnival at Bloggy Giveaways!

In the day to day grind, I often get focused on being productive and forget that just 'being with them' is important. Don't forget that snuggle time (or reading to them or games or...)

my best tip -- trust your instincts -- and pray constantly (even when it's Lord, help me to not KILL them...) :-)

My tip is, pray, pray, pray. It's so good for both me and my baby!

Also, think about using cloth diapers. It's fun and not nearly the hassle I thought it would be! Plus, we're saving dollars, and the environment.

My best mothering tip is to not get too caught up on your daily "to do " list and schedule in some one on one play time with your kids.

A friend of mine who is a super parent with a clean house and well-behaved children etc. etc...told me that she didn't change wet diapers in the middle of the night, just the messy ones, unless the baby had a rash or was awake and keeping her up anyways. Made me feel better that even the "perfect" parents don't try to do EVERYTHING, and I got more sleep.

This study sounds wonderful! My tip would be to not be too controlling. Let them make some decisions and deal with the consequences, good or bad.

Sounds like a fabulous prize to win. One of my favorite mothering tips is to sometimes welcome the opportunity to change gears and do something that wasn't planned if the chance presents itself - you never know how much fun you and your children might end up having!

My best advice: realize you don't know very much at all and you need God to help you daily!

as a mom of 7, i know what it's like to get bogged down in the day to day.but i strive to remember my ultimate goals for each child and concentrate on how to meet that goal. so when all goes haywire i can get back to the most important thing.

Find time for each child separately! This worked wonders for my kids - we had special dates & all attention was on them alone!

apologize when you're wrong. it's ok for the kids to know that mom and dad make mistakes, too
